Make These New Year Resolutions To Improve Your Relationship in 2013



As the New Year near everyone starts making a list of resolutions as they wish to follow it in the coming Year. People makes goals s for their business, career, health, fitness and many more. But in this they forget to make resolution for their relationships. According to experts it is said that “For a lifelong and healthy relationship, acceptance is the key. Love is to understanding and soothes your partner.”
Therefore let’s talk about some of your New Year resolutions that every couple should take to live a healthy and a happy relationship forever.

1. Stop fretting: 
Ina relationship we mostly take our partner for granted.  So if there is something which is bothering you, stop having small fights, instead of that have a discussion on that topic and clear it. Small backbiting comments usually deteriorate a relationship.

2. More and better sex:
Actually physical intimacy is very much essential for a relationship to work. The busy lifestyle causes decrease in closeness and this merely becomes an act. Take efforts to make your sexuallife interesting. Avoid making sex as a task, start enjoying a time together.

 3. Pay attention:
When you are with your partner, make a point to be with them.  Avoid redirecting your interest on other things such as emails, texts or IM’s. It is   found that many of us keep multitasking even when our partner is talking. So make a note to change this habit and listen to your partner by giving full attention.

4. Show gratitude:
  This year make a point to show gratitude to your partner for all his or her efforts. Here are some of the simple ways to start. Do such things that will increase your relationship extremely. Your partner will feel valued and would make more initiatives to make the relationship last.

5. Eat healthy:
It is very common to see couples putting their weight on after getting married. Therefore make a resolution to have a healthy diet this year.

6. Stop criticising:
Along with this it is also observed that when we spend lot of time with someone, we start criticising them by ignoring the good things.  Therefore in this year make sure that you will not criticize your partner for small things.

 7. Be a better listener:
Do not just listen and nod in a discussion, instead of that take out some time to sit down and to listen your partner’s problems and worries and try to solve it. This is a great step in strengthening a relationship.

8. Have fun together:
Couples find very little or no time to indulge in leisurely activities. Therefore take efforts to spend some playtime in your everyday life.

 9. Have a date night:
We all know that busy couples are unable to find time to go out as well as to relive the time they had spent together previously.  Therefore take effort   to have “date nights” in order show your partner that how much you care about your partner and how the romance is still deep in your relation.

 10. Learn to say- No:
This situation occurs many time when you are disagree with your partners point of view, but them also you agree as you don’t want to hart your  spouse. But sometimes it can cause fights too therefore to avoid it learn to say “NO” politely where you are not agree.
